Describe a typical day for you at work. Thankfully typical days are the exception at Bailey’s. Every day is new and every patron is unique in their request. One day I may be setting over 100 diamonds in a new custom ring. The next day I may be working exclusively with a patron one on one with a new design. There is a lot going on at Bailey’s every day.
What design capabilities do you and your team at Bailey’s have? Can you make custom pieces? We have a lot to be thankful for. Mr. Bailey never compromises on quality. Only the best will do. We have a state of the art workshop with full manufacturing capabilities. Our Jewelers, Watchmakers and Gemologists are always up to date with the latest training and technology. Custom designing is our specialty.
Do you have a favorite piece you’ve ever created? If not one specifically, what type of pieces do you enjoy making? That’s a tough question. We start every design motivated with the mindset that we will do our finest work. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the times we are asked to design around a gemstone that has been passed down through the generations. To see a diamond that has been in a family for centuries come to life in a new custom creation we designed can be an overwhelming experience to say the least. It’s truly an honor to do this work.
What do you love about working at Bailey’s/what’s your favorite part of your job? Without question it is the trust that is placed in us to design jewelry that marks a moment in people’s lives. The significance is immeasurable. Our patrons have become like family over the years. I love what we do!
