Shopping FAQ

We have four Bailey’s locations in Eastern North Carolina: Rocky Mount, Greenville, The Village District in Raleigh, and Crabtree Valley Mall in Raleigh. We are excited to announce that we have another Eastern NC location coming soon in Fenton of Cary!

We also recently opened a studio location in the Jewelry District of Los Angeles. Available by appointment only.

In order to place an order on

  • Choose your dreamy new addition to your jewelry wardrobe and click “Add to my Bailey Box” (repeat as many times as necessary…)
  • View your cart by clicking on the Bailey Box icon in the top right corner – it should have a red number beside it with the current amount of stunning jewels in your cart
  • After reviewing your cart and, click “Proceed to checkout” on the right-hand side
  • Fill out the billing and shipping information, then choose your method of delivery or pickup on the right-hand side
  • Choose your method of payment and enter your card information
  • Click “Place Order”
  • Wait patiently for new sparkles to arrive!

Yes! We offer curbside pickup at all of our North Carolina locations.

To pick your online order up from one of our North Carolina locations, choose the store that works best for you from the column on the right during checkout, just before you enter your billing information.

Please allow 3-5 days for us to prepare your online order for pickup at one of our stores!

We offer a wide selection of our merchandise on, but not all of our sparkles are shoppable on the web. We are constantly updating our site with new pieces as well as sharing our current favorites on our Facebook and Instagram accounts every day.

If you are on the hunt for the perfect addition to your jewelry wardrobe and you are not finding it on, please feel free to contact us and we can let you know what we have, send photos or videos, and chat virtually to find you something sparkly!

If you are a resident of North Carolina (or sending this purchase to a North Carolina shipping address) you will be charged the standard state tax rate. If you reside or are shipping your Bailey Box outside of North Carolina, your order will not be taxed.

When ordering through our website you have the option to checkout with Affirm or Quadpay which are services that allow you to pay for your new sparkles over time.

If you choose to shop with us in stores or make your purchase via social media, you have the option to finance your new jewels with Wells Fargo or Synchrony.

You can also choose to put your purchase on layaway by putting 20% down and then making equal payments for the following three months.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, JCB & Diners Club), as well as Affirm, Quadpay, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

For security purposes, Bailey’s Fine Jewelry may request additional documentation such as a driver’s license, a photocopy of your credit card on some transactions.

At our sole discretion, certain orders may require a bank wire transfer in which customers will receive wiring instructions within 24-48 hours of completing the check-out process. We must receive confirmation from our bank that a wire transfer has been completed before items can be shipped.

If you would prefer to make your online purchase using two different credit cards, please place your order over the phone with a member of our customer service team at (855)-485-6206. We are available Monday- Friday 9:00am-5:00pm.

If you would like to make a purchase in-store using two different credit cards, please be prepared to show your identification during the checkout process.

For all orders made through, we offer standard shipping as well as store pick up from our North Carolina locations.

Standard (3-5 Days)

  • Free for orders over $99
  • $10 for orders of less than $99

Store Pickup

  • Free for all eligible orders. Available at all North Carolina locations.

Yes, you can! Once your order has been shipped, you will be emailed a FedEx tracking number. That way, you can watch your new sparkles get closer and closer to their forever home.

Unfortunately, we do not currently offer international shipping from We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause! We are working toward safely and efficiently providing this service in the future.

Yes! All of our products are insured during the shipping process regardless of their dollar value. These purchases are special to our lovely patrons and we want to ensure that they arrive at their destination in perfect condition!

We take every precaution to ensure that your order arrives safely. Your order is fully insured during transit, and we require a signature for all packages.

In order to make a return or exchange, please contact us through email, phone, or social media and we will happily send you a return label. Once we receive your item, you will be refunded the full amount. You can also visit one of our Bailey’s locations to make your return.

If you would like to exchange an item, you can do so online or in-store by following the same process above. If you choose to make your exchange online, we will ship your new sparkles once we receive your initial purchase.

Most purchases may be returned within 3o days for exchange, store credit, or refund. Please see our full return policy here.
*Items that may not be returned include but are not limited to custom design, engraved items, special orders, trunk show merchandise, watches, items that have been altered, and high-dollar merchandise.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on items that have been engraved since they are now personalized specifically to you. If you have an engraved item that you no longer love, reach out to us and we can talk through some options for repurposing or repairing your special item.

We recommend finalizing your diamond selection 8 weeks before you want your ring completed in hand. This ensures you see the most up to date and accurate options available and leaves enough time for production, which takes 4-6 weeks.

The 4 Cs of diamond quality refer to the following: Cut, Color, Clarity and Carat weight. Bailey’s wants you to be confident when buying your diamond. We’re diamond experts and we can teach you all about the 4Cs of diamond quality and everything you need to know about buying a diamond. Learn more.

While 99 percent of the diamonds we sell are natural, Bailey’s also offers a collection of lab-grown diamonds. These pieces are eco-friendly and 40 to 60 percent less expensive than a natural diamond. Plus, they look identical to their earth-mined counterparts. Learn more here.

Services FAQ

Yes, we do!

You are welcome to bring your jewelry to any of our NC locations for cleaning, prong tightening, repolishing, rhodium plating, and any other care or repair services.

If you are not able to make it into one of our North Carolina stores, contact us and we would be happy to make recommendations or arrangements to get your jewelry the care that it needs.

Occasionally, we will buy jewelry if we have an inventory need. Items most commonly purchased are rare diamonds and certified Rolex watches.

If you have a piece of jewelry that you would like to sell, our buyers would be happy to evaluate your item and let you know if we are interested in making an offer. Please visit us at any of our North Carolina locations with your item.

We also purchase gold and other precious metals at scrap value.

Absolutely! We love to repair and restore jewelry.

We have a team of full-time jewelry designers in-house at our Bailey’s custom workshop, located inside our Village District store, which allows us to offer a wide range of repair work.

From simple stone tightening and polishing to full re-design and custom work, we would love to work together on creating or restoring your perfect piece of jewelry!

We are happy to replace your watch battery!

Here at Bailey’s, giving back to the communities that we serve has always been a part of who we are. Rather than charging you for watch battery replacement, we ask that you make a donation to the charity that we are currently supporting in the area! Here at Bailey’s, we have an in-house watchmaker that specializes in all kinds of watch repairs. For more information or to make an appointment for watch repairs, please visit

We are happy to appraise your jewelry at any of our North Carolina locations. Appraisals typically require 2 weeks to complete from the drop off date.

Appraisal cost:

  • The cost is $125 for the first item and $80 for each subsequent item.
  • For an updated appraisal on jewelry previously appraised by Bailey’s, cost is $45.

Although we are happy to provide you with an insurance appraisal that you can use to obtain coverage for your jewelry, we are not providers of jewelry insurance.

We strongly encourage our patrons to get insurance for jewelry and diamonds that they cherish in the event that a stone is lost or damaged. We always recommend Jewelers Mutual to our patrons which offers options to protect your jewelry from loss, theft, damage, and worldwide travel.

If you do lose a diamond, we’ll work with you to get it replaced and do everything we can to ensure it never happens again. Please feel free to contact us if you are in need of proof of your diamond’s value to give to your insurance company.

Engraving FAQ

Absolutely! We offer both machine engraving and hand engraving options here at Bailey’s. Machine engraving can be done in stores on both metal and glass while hand engraving requires us to send the item to a hand engraver. Learn more about our engraving services here:

Bailey’s does offer in-store machine engravings. Please allow for a 2-3 week turnaround time for all engraving services.

Engraving is available for specific pieces on –  please contact us if you would like your online purchase engraved and we can work together to accomplish your perfect look! Please allow at least 2-3 weeks for all engraving services.

Bailey’s item:

  • $15 up to 20 letters
  • $0.50 for each additional letter

Non-Bailey’s Item:

  • $20 up to 20 letters
  • $0.50 for each additional letter

Curved surface: additional $5
Glass or Acrylic: additional $10
Custom design: additional $30
Color fill (red, black, gold, or silver): additional $5

All of our engraving services have a standard 2-3 week turnaround time.

Of course! Bailey’s will engrave items that are not purchased at our stores for an additional cost. Please refer to the engraving cost FAQ for specific pricing on engraving non-Bailey’s items.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on engraved items.
