Founded in 2007, the international organization DEF works with jewelers like Bailey’s to reach out to the youth of these African nations by providing high-quality education and scholarship opportunities. Africa is the biggest producer of rough diamonds in the world and the Diamonds for Good program supports programs which impact communities where precious gems originate.

“We are honored to participate in a program that supports educational opportunities and scholarships in these global areas,” said Trey Bailey, director of operations at Bailey’s Fine Jewelry. “This is a great opportunity for Bailey’s to make a difference in the international community in addition to our longstanding commitment to the many local organizations we support.”

Bailey’s Fine Jewelry has a longtime commitment to serving a wide-range of local and regional organizations including their initiative, A Time to Give. A Time to Give is Bailey’s own innovative program to provide free watch battery replacements to patrons and instead asks for a charitable donation. Each month Bailey’s locations support a different local charity through this program. For more information on Bailey’s philanthropic activities visit https://www.baileybox.com/philanthropy/.
