RALEIGH, N.C. (April 7, 2014) – Bailey’s Fine Jewelry recently donated more than $2,500 to the Wake County Public Schools Special Education Services. These funds will support local students competing in Special Olympics.
Bailey’s Fine Jewelry raised the funds as part of the jeweler’s sponsorship with North Carolina State University Athletics. A portion of the proceeds from the Wolfpack private shopping event held at Bailey’s Cameron Village location is designated to a non-profit organization each year. NC State Football Coach Dave Doeren selected the Wake County Public Schools Special Education Services to receive the funds raised at the event.
Wake County Public Schools has more than 1,900 students that rotate through developmental activities to prepare for the Special Olympics. Many of these students will go on to compete in the games. Students participate in a variety of events including basketball skills and track and field events.
