Bailey’s Fine Jewelry Fights Local Hunger with Share the Love Campaign

RALEIGH, N.C. (Mar. 8, 2013) – Bailey’s Fine Jewelry is starting a movement to “fight hunger right here at home,” through the introduction of its Share the Love campaign. For every ring purchased from the Bailey’s Signature Collection of engagement and wedding jewelry, Bailey’s will donate funds to purchase 360 meals to feed a local North Carolina family.

The meal donations will be made through the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina via Feeding America. The Food Bank will distribute the meals to various food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, day care centers and elderly care programs around the area.

Donating 44.8 million pounds of food last year, the Food Bank provides more than 150,000 pounds of food each day to the 34 counties it serves. In those 34 counties, more than 560,000 people are at risk of hunger, including 191,307 children and 44,043 elderly.

Bailey’s unique program invites patrons to Share the Love they feel during such a special time in their lives with others in need. Bailey’s Signature Collection of wedding bands and engagement rings are unique and each ring is made entirely in America.

“The Share the Love campaign is about doing our part to help local families,” said Doug Morgan, director of community relations for Bailey’s Fine Jewelry. “We’re blessed to be a part of such great communities and we want to fight hunger here at home in those communities.”

This campaign is the newest addition to Bailey’s existing philanthropic projects, including the successful A Time to Give programin which patrons can receive a free watch battery in exchange for a donation to a selected charity.  Bailey’s has raised over $141,000 through A Time to Give.

The Share the Love campaign is currently in effect at all five Bailey’s Fine Jewelry locations.
