RALEIGH, N.C. (Sept. 23, 2014) The next time Triangle residents need a safe ride home, they could be greeted by the Bailey Box Car, the famous gift-shaped vehicle owned by Bailey’s Fine Jewelry. Bailey’s Fine Jewelry has teamed up with Safe Ride Home, a service that drives customers home safely in their own cars, to allow locals to safely enjoy all the city has to offer.
Founded in 2007, Safe Ride Home is the longest running designated driver service in Raleigh. The service consists of two drivers, a chauffeur and a chaser. The chauffeur drives the customer home in his or her personal car and the chaser follows in a Safe Ride vehicle to pick up the chauffeur. Seven nights a week, from 9 p.m. to 3 a.m., customers are picked up and dropped off at locations around the Triangle including concert venues, bars, restaurants and their homes. The Bailey Box Car will serve as the chaser vehicle that follows the customer’s car.
