In 2009, the ‘Bailey Box’ had its first big brush with fame when we gave a ‘Bailey Box’ to Kate Gosselin at The Southern Women’s Show (it made it on to Jon + Kate Plus 8) the show! In 2010, we’ve taken it up a notch – this year it’s all about the royalty! The Bailey’s Fine Jewelry team was thrilled to have the opportunity to eat lunch with the Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, at the Power of the Purse Luncheon in Greenville a few weeks ago. The event was organized by Women for Women of Greenville, a special interest fund of the Greater Greenville Community Foundation comprised of women committed to becoming effective philanthropists through the power of giving.
As we ate, Sarah Ferguson told stories of her childhood, marriage, life as royalty, and the many experiences that make her so interesting, charming and entertaining! Enlightened and motivated, our Bailey’s Fine Jewelry table sat and listened attentively. We were delighted to be the sponsor of the diamond pendant necklace that was awarded to one lucky winner at the conclusion of Sarah’s speech. Marci Bailey (check out our photos on Facebook: (http://www.facebook.com/pages/Baileys-Fine-Jewelry/51229141766?ref=ts#!/pages/Baileys-Fine-Jewelry/51229141766?ref=ts), got to stand on stage with the Duchess, as she helped present the beautiful the necklace to the winner.
