Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers Makes a Memory in Fayetteville

It’s that time of year again.

Cooler weather, sunny skies and red Bailey’s shirts were at the scene this past Saturday in Fayetteville at Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers. Each couple, whether they were on foot or on bike, where all in search of the $12,000 Passion Cut™ Diamond ring and band from Bailey’s. Started last year in Raleigh, Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers has become an annual tradition for our Bailey family. The day began with sponsor tables, music from a local radio station blaring and contestants reading up on their Fayetteville history, culture and trivia.

Scvngr, the company responsible for the technology behind the hunt, explains the rules to the sea of red. The hundreds of couples wait anxiously to begin the wild race.  The race is off … Scvngr’s technology is remarkable! They are able to send GPS based clues and texts to I Phones, Blackberries and other mobile devices. Each clue the team answers accurately, rewards a certain amount of points, which takes them one step closer to the DIAMOND ring.

At the completion of the race, everyone (tired and hungry!) headed to Huske Hardware Restaurant for the after party, where the top award winners were announced. Everyone grabbed a bite to eat, a cold drink and we listened and waited on the edge of our seats for the top winner to be called out. The radio announcer stated “and the couple with the top score….is Mark and Janette Sullivan!” Tears of joy and screams of excitement filled the room. A sweet couple with a sweet story, very deserving of this beautiful ring. The crowd cheered as the couple hugged and cried. What a great end to a wonderful day.

Stay tuned, there is more to come…we will be back in Raleigh to create another magical memory. Ultimate Finders Keepers, Raleigh, November 6, 2010.
