RALEIGH, NC (Oct. 25, 2010) – Bailey’s Fine Jewelry is hiding a $15,000 diamond ring somewhere in downtown Raleigh and it could be yours – if your treasure-hunting skills are up to the task. Bailey’s is known for its Finders Keepers campaign in which ‘Bailey Boxes’ that contain jewelry and a note are hidden for anyone to find and keep. Bailey’s is taking that idea a step further with Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers, a high-tech scavenger hunt to find and win a $15,000 Passion Cut™ diamond ring.
Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers will kick off Saturday, Nov. 6 at 11 a.m. at Lichtin Plaza in front of the Progress Energy Center for Performing Arts in downtown Raleigh. Any couple or team of two must register to participate by filling out a registration form and telling Bailey’s why your team deserves to participate. Bailey’s will then hand pick winners to participate in the treasure hunt.
Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers isn’t just any scavenger hunt; it is a high-tech scavenger hunt that uses text messages or an iPhone/Android application to deliver the clues to participants. Any phone, model or carrier can play, as long as the phone can receive text messages. Participants can travel through Raleigh solving clues on foot or by bike, but cars are not allowed.
The team who solves the most clues will find (and keep) the spectacular $15,000 Passion Cut Diamond. A Passion Cut diamond is one of the most brilliant diamonds in the world because of its 81 facets, compared to a typical 57-facet gem. In addition to this stunning ring, Bailey’s has also organized an ‘after party’ for all participants in front of the Bailey’s Fine Jewelry location in Cameron Village at approximately 2 p.m.
This is the second annual Bailey’s Ultimate Finders Keepers in Raleigh. A similar hunt took place in Fayetteville in October.
