Las Vegas Buying Trip
Every year a group of Bailey’s family members and associates travel to Las Vegas to attend the country’s largest jewelry buying show. I just recently returned from this year’s show and was blown away by all the beautiful things I saw. We are so blessed to be adding two new Bailey’s locations this summer and I had the pleasure of picking many new treasures to showcase in our new Fayetteville and Crabtree Valley Mall locations.
I can’t wait to debut the exciting new collections by our biggest designers like Slane and Slane, David Yurman and John Hardy. The focus for designers is definitely yellow gold and pastel hued stones which I love because they can be worn regardless of season or style. Also, the new Michael Kors watches for fall, focusing on crystal, brown, navy and gold will knock your socks off (Starting at $185)!!
I handpicked many strands of exotic stones from around the world and I am currently playing with them to create unique necklace combinations for fall. Rock crystal quartz beads of every size and shape were definitely what I liked the most, and if you can believe it I purchased over 60 pounds of them!! I feel like I am in a candy shop when I lay them all out in my office. I cannot wait to share them with you soon.
Trey and Clyde focused on buying diamonds and engagement ring mountings. They were able to view diamonds from mines all over the world and purchase them directly from the mine owners. Trey could not believe the quality of what we were able to purchase. They will be available at all of our Bailey’s locations by the end of the month.
Trey and I attended the Antique and Estate show for the first time. It was such an exciting experience. To see pieces from famous collectors and jewelry houses just deepened my appreciation for antique jewelry and renewed my desire to offer the most unique one-of-a-kind pieces to you. I purchased many antique yellow gold charms and antique engagement rings. Continuing my love affair with Rock Crystal Quartz this year, I purchased four Victorian era antique pieces that will be hard for me to part with.
Also, be on the look out for announcements of two new jewelry lines that we are introducing this fall!!
All in all, 2010’s buying trip was a fruitful one. My favorite trip yet! And, I can’t wait to share everything we found with you!
